Tax justice to help economic and social transition

As European citizen I worry about the long-term implications of globalisation and automation on the job market and the wider society. I believe public resources must be invested in the social safety net to smooth the transition and curb the most negative effects for the most vulnerable groups, while at the same time providing for retraining opportunities. How to find these additional resources without increasing the (already high) level of public debt? Tax policy should be updated to the new digital business landscape and reconfigured at the EU-level, specifically to address tax elusion and fiscal optimisation by digital multinationals.
